MEDIA MINISTRIES BUREAU WINS FIVE 2002 TELLY AWARDS

The 23rd Annual Telly Awards has presented The Salvation Army U.S.A. Eastern Territory Media Ministries Bureau five awards for the year 2002.

Winners include:

  1. "Dare to Live the Difference" - produced for the Youth Department for candidate recruitment for officership.

  2. "HopeShare Music Video" - produced for the HopeShare Department to promote the HopeShare program around the territory. (2 awards)

  3. "Forward Together" - an overview of the work of The Salvation Army in the Southern Africa Territory. The video host is Commissioner Israel L. Gaither, the newly appointed U.S.A. Eastern Territory leader as of August 2002.

  4. "At the Edge of Time" - a multi-media presentation using the music composition of Lt.-Colonel Ray Steadman-Allen. It features three movements based on the book of Revelation and the end of time with the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. This production was featured in concerts with the New York Staff Band.

These productions are judged by over twenty highly qualified production professionals representing a cross section of producers from agencies, TV stations, production houses, and corporate video departments from around the United States.

The Bureaus' 2002 winners were chosen from the categories of "religion" and "cost effective/low budget."

Jeff Schultz, Media Ministries Bureau Director, salutes the hard work of the bureau staff: Tom Big, David Baker, Lynn Gryniak, and Anita Schultz. Also our 3D animator, Jim Humphrey, who adds so much to these productions with his creativity. We also thank the HopeShare, Youth, and Music Departments for allowing Media Ministries to create these videos. All honor to our Lord Jesus Christ!
